The Smelter is a compact EDC collaboration between Rike and Six Fingers, merging premium machining with a bold industrial cyberpunk aesthetic. Designed to stand apart from conventional folders, the Smelter channels a rugged, utilitarian visual language through its compact frame, layered detailing, and purposeful construction.
At the center of the design is a sleek clip point blade ground from Bohler M390, a high performance stainless steel known for exceptional edge retention, corrosion resistance, and long term cutting performance. 
Finished in DLC, the blade takes on a darker, more aggressive character that complements the knife’s industrial styling while adding an extra layer of wear resistance. Its compact dimensions make it practical for everyday use, while the thicker 4.5 mm stock gives the Smelter a dense, overbuilt feel that reinforces its distinctive presence.
The 6AL4V titanium handle is where the Smelter’s identity comes fully to life. Drawing from Six Fingers’ signature industrial design language, the handle incorporates bold textures, slotted openings, and structural detailing inspired by diamond plate and grid mesh forms. These elements create a visual depth that feels raw, technical, and unmistakably cyberpunk, while maintaining the refined fit and finish expected from Rike.
Despite its compact 6.30 inch overall length, the Smelter carries with substantial authority. The proportions are tight and controlled, giving it a solid in hand feel and a confident ergonomic profile suited for daily carry. Deployment is handled through a flipper opener, paired with a frame lock for secure and reliable lockup.
